Romans 8:13-17:

For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a Spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our Spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heairs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse.

I stumbled across this passage and my heart leaped within me. This makes me thirst for the presence of the Lord. There is so much purpose in every aspect of my life when serving the Lord, knowing that I will be with Him in paradise.
